What the frack? They are starting out with Skin Jobs? I thought they were something that was developed during the first Cylon war? I really hope they find some way to differentiate between that one and the skin jobs we now in the current BSG like make them similar to the skin jobs in TOS.
On the other hand I am still looking forward to it. Do they have a release date for it yet?

I just got goose bumps. Looks great.

I had the same feeling about skin jobs. My feeling is that skin jobs will be banned or something by the end of the series. I read some things last night about how Sci-Fi is taking the next to weeks to decide if they want to go to series. This will factor in when they will air the pilot.

Hell, Adalla you're quick on that draw...I didn't even have a chance...LOL!

This series is gonna surprise a lot of people. And yes, I think it will be a series...followed by BSG faithful everywhere. Give it a chance!

hehe A-dog, BANG BANG...I'm a quick draw Tongue

I just got blown away by the Teasers, we've been hearing so much talk about Caprica, but seeing actual scenes...well that's an entirely different ball game.

About the skinjobs, guys remember Caprica is supposed to tie in with the BSG story. So there must be an explanation to why we see skinjobs before we see chrome jobs.

My guess is that either a) the Teaser encompasses also events that happen WAY down the line in the series. or b) The first step of Daniel Graystone IS to create a clone of Adama(?)'s daughter.

But TighF has a good point. It is possible cloning becomes banned, but society starts to like the idea of robots doing their dirty jobs for them.

Either way, the Teaser I think looked absolutely great, and I just cant wait to see this spin on the BSG universe and story. I actually am very interested in life before shit hit the fan.

And from the interviews Sitrep has been quoting, it seems that Caprica will have as big a political/social/philosophical message if not bigger than the...oh my how we gonna start to refer to the BSG series?  lol the "original" series? the...sequel series? lol simply BSG? lol andyways...bigger than BSG.

You know the possibilities are endless...we know BSG covered just about every topic out there, form terrorism, to torture, religious freedom to political corruption to society class discrimination etc etc. Caprica can cover such popular and fascinating ideas such as human cloning, ethics of reproducing life artificially...and the great debate, of what defines life...you hear in the Teaser one of the mothers or something say "but she doesnt have a soul" or "But they dont have souls" or whatever.

Very VERY fascinating IMO. I just pray the actors are up for the big shoes they have to fill...because I know for sure any show with David Eick and Ron Moore at the top, we dont have much to worry about as far as production and writing Wink

Gods dammit! LOL! You beat me again...LOL! I totally agree. IMO, Graystone clones the girls, and they're normal except something in their psyche (lack of a "soul") makes them inherently "off" a bit. As the humans discover this fact the skin jobs are banned. Graystone disappears with them to go further his work and many years down the road you have...RAZOR and what that all entails. Meanwhile the Colonists see the upside in having AI that can do all the work for them and voila, you have the beginning of the end. The chrome jobs revolt, go away to find their "master" and come back with the new skin jobs...this is gonna be good!

well...The teaser itself is pretty  good but it just looks like too much will be revealed and no place left for mystery!  Undecided

RDM said he counts on everything already been known (how the series will end) to mount the tension.

I wouldnt worry, I'm positive RDM is going to make us pick up our jaws from the floor Tongue

There's a legacy at stake here fellas. I know that RDM will not take his or the BSG Universe legacies for granted. I have complete trust that they will find a way to take this beginning and make a thrill ride out of it.

Everything I've seen or heard since my last posts to this thread are encouraging. A lot of folks are talking about Caprica and none of it has been bad yet...
