SciFi Channel Asks For 2 More Scripts

Several reports have stated that The SciFi Channel has asked for 2 more scripts to be produced. This definitely paints a positive picture for Ron Moore's follow up to the epic Battlestar Galactica, although it is only speculation at this point since The SciFi Channel has not announced it yet.

Reported to be writing the additional episodes are BSG alumnist writers Mark Verheiden, Michael Angeli and Ryan Mottesheard.

Meanwhile, the Caprica pilot has wrapped and is scheduled to be premiering this fall with any additional episodes being slated for the Spring of 2009. As previously reported at BSG Pilots this was originally one of the concerns of the Caprica release as the pilot is not necessarily a stand alone...

Alerts For New TV Movie

On the curtails of Grace park's revelation that the first TV Movie was being cast comes the confirmation of yet another BSG actor, Aaron Douglas.

Douglas (Chief Tyrol for those of you hiding under a rock) informed his primary fan club site, The Chief's Deck that indeed the first and, from what he was told, last TV movie is green lit. Lawyers have contacted Douglas' agent with a deal to be in the movie. Potentially joining the cast would be Grace Park (Athena), Katee Sackhoff (Starbuck), Dean Stockwell (Cavil), Michael Hogan (Tigh), Michael Trucco (Anders) and presumably the movie's director, Eddie Olmos (Admiral Adama). Douglas was informed the movie should start shooting in September....

First Of The Three Planned Movies On It's Way?

Well, here we go! With the finale of BSG filmed and the series wrapped we hear the rumor mill starting to churn. We've already been given news that up to 3 BSG movies could be made, all of which would be post the series finale. But now we have unconfirmed reports that the first of these movies might be green lit!

Grace Park (Sharon "Athena" Agathon) has been quoted in the LA Times as saying "A TV movie, but still! But this -- it's like, yeah, it's over but we're ready to move on but nobody's manager or agent has been called. It's supposed to start in August."
