Caprica Season 1.5 Comic Con 2010 Trailer Unveiled! Story By Commander A-Dog - News Capture by Captain Knighthawkdc Possible Spoiler Warning! Watch at your own risk! After watching this teaser trailer, all I can say is HOLY FRAK! This short trailer gives us quite an in depth glimpse into Season 1.5 of Caprica. There are many scenes that leave many clues throughout this trailer. It appears that Joeseph Adama gets lucky with his colleague Evelyn. Sam Adama is running guns behind the Guatreau's back. Sister Clarice is seen asking for total control of the Soldiers of the One. Lacy is apparently training to become a full fledged operative for the STO as we see a rather disheveled looking Daniel fighting with an avatar of Amanda. Does this mean Amanda succeeded in her suicide? We also see leagues of Cylons being created while we hear Daniel talk about them being created to help humanity. The next line is Clarice proclaiming "the children of humanity will rise up and destroy those that first gave them life!" The final cut scene is of an elevator opening and a Cylon centurion opening fire on a group of ner do wells. ABC's Flash Forward Goes Gaius By Commander A-Dog Well pilots, as there's not much news on the BSG or Caprica fronts these days, I thought I would do a short spot on ABC's Flash Forward. I for one have been glued to the tv each week just thoroughly enjoying this show. I can tell you with no hesitation that it is far and away the best show since BSG. It is intelligently written, the characters are believable and you can't wait each week to see where the cliffhanger from last week will take you. The show revolves around an event that causes the entire world to black out for 2 minutes and 17 seconds. During this black out people see a part of their future. The story is a riveting tale each week of how each of the 12 or 13 main characters interact and dissect their futures and search for the clues as to how and why the black out happened in the first place. The FBI office in LA is immediately embroiled in becoming the premiere investigative force in the black out. The head of the "Mosaic" investigation is Agent Mark Benford, played by veteran actor Joeseph Fiennes. Two weeks ago the show scored a HUGE hit with me. We've reached the end of the epic first season of Caprica. It appears as if Ron Moore and company are going to pull a BSG on us and premiere Caprica Season 1.5 sometime in late September or early October. In the meantime we have the above teaser trailer for next season and knowing Ron Moore we will undoubtedly get some awesome off season media to keep us satiated until then. There have been rumors on the web of webisodes, however they are as of yet unsubstantiated. Of course if any news breaks on that front we'll be sure to get that news to you ASAP. As for this trailer, it seems like all proverbial hell is going to break loose next season. There are smatterings of Sister Clarice really beginning to force her hand at becoming THE leader of the STO. It also appears as if we see Lacy Rand being held captive somewhere (perhaps Geminon?). Daniel has no choice but to apparently reach out to Joseph for help containing Vergis. And it certainly appears as if Zoe is still on the run somewhere. Syfy May Refuel The Galactica's Tank By Commander A-Dog
It appears as though the "old girl" may yet have some gas in her tank. The SyFy network is said to be very pleased with the ratings for Caprica. So much so that Mark Stern, Syfy executive VP of development, speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, told them "We have a lot of hope for that show. The (DVR data) has been very promising and growing week after week." Caprica recently hit a series high mark in the adult demographic using Neisen's Live+7 ratings, drawing 1.6 million viewers and 913,000 adults 18-49. Live + 7 is the latest tool that Neilsen ratings uses to track viewership of a program not only at time of airing but also if it was DVR'd or downloaded via Amazon or Itunes for watching at a later time. A few years ago, Battlestar Galactica was a show right in the middle of controversy due to incomplete ratings data from the mass onset of DVR and other portable devices. This meant that the show and others that were originally perceived as low veiwership were actually doing much better than the original ratings showed. New BSG MMO Game Coming This Fall! By Commander A-Dog It's time. After allowing the dust to settle around all that was the end of the most fantastic show ever produced for television we now have official word that Battlestar Galactica will live again. And it will live on line. NBC Universal announced at Game Developers Conference 10 that it has in fact teamed up with Bigpoint to create a new MMO browser based game. When initially launched this coming fall, the game will debut exclusively on Syfy.com for the first 30 days. Battlestar Galactica Online's game play will consist of space battles and mission-based quests that will reward the player with advancement in the storyline. The game will also utilize clips and music directly from the TV show. Perhaps the most awesome parts of this game will be it's multi-player platform and full Artplant/Unity 3D graphics engine. This will allow many fans to grab their friends and play for hours as their favorite Colonial or Cylon in rich graphic environments!
